My Walk With God

It is very important to have a personal relationship with the Lord God. God made us and loves us and desires to have fellowship with us. Walking with God means that we have communication with him and that we worship him. This can only be possible when we place our faith in his son Jesus Christ. Jesus died for our sins and is raised so that we can have the gift of eternal life when we believe in him.

My walk with God began in October 1970. That was the year when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I was born-again into the family and household of God.

There have been many challenges in the Christian walk. But I am not alone because Jesus said he would never leave me or forsake me. God has provided many opportunities for me and has made it possible for me to overcome hurdles and to be victorious in every circumstance. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me [Phil. 4: 13].

God is my confidant and friend. I seek to have devotions with him every morning because reading the Bible strengthens my faith in him; and his promises are reassuring to me. The joy of the Lord is my strength.

I love God because he first loved me. And because I love him, I will keep his commandments. His love causes me to show love to all persons. It is my desire that as you are reading this, you too will want to walk with God.
